Burnham Yates Citizenship Award
Posted: Wed, September 3, 2008. The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce held its 13th Annual Celebrate Business Awards Luncheon Thursday, August 21 at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel. The event was held to honor nine Lincoln businesses and business people for their success and service to the community. Over 700 people attended the luncheon which highlighted the accomplishments of the 2008 award winners.
The highest distinction, the Burnham Yates Citizenship Award, went to Marc LeBaron of Lincoln Industries for his unwavering dedication to his company and his community. As the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, LeBaron has steered Lincoln Industries into its current state of prosperity. Employing over 500 dedicated individuals, Lincoln Industries was recently recognized as one of America’s best medium sized companies to work for. LeBaron has taken an active interest in his community by serving on the Nebraska Wesleyan University and BryanLGH Board of Directors. LeBaron also has been a leader in Lincoln’s 2015 Initiative and is a Lincoln Chamber of Commerce board member and past-chairman.
Lincoln Industries named to Best Place to Work
Posted: Mon, 23 Jun 2008. For the fifth straight year, Lincoln Industries has been named one of the 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America. The list was announced on June 23rd before an audience of more than 20,000 at the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 59th Annual Conference & Exposition in Chicago.
This annual list, now in its fifth year, ranks the top 25 small and top 25 medium-sized companies in America that use smart people management strategies to develop successful organizations with highly productive and satisfied workforces. The organizations, ranging in size from 50 to 999 employees, were announced by SHRM and selected and ranked by the Great Place to Work® Institute (GPTW). This year Lincoln Industries was ranked 20th on the list.
